Welcome to my profile! My name is Kristin Mosley, and I am a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counseling Associate in North Carolina. I received my Master’s in Community Counseling with a Trauma Certification from Regent University, and I have over 6 years of clinical mental health experience in the non-profit and private practice settings. I work with children ages 7 and above, adolescents, and adults, and in 2024, I will be offering couples counseling. I offer in-person, virtual, and hybrid sessions.
My therapeutic style is direct, open, and collaborative. I am passionate about respecting diversity, and I am both knowledgeable and skilled in providing LGBTQ+, culturally-sensitive, trauma-informed care. In sessions, I use a diverse set of therapeutic tools and theories while prioritizing the unique needs and experiences of the individual client. I like to use a blend of mindfulness-based strategies and interventions like DBT and ACT paired with an unstructured use of CBT and solutions-focused therapy.
With children and adolescents, sessions will include activities using art, music, and play, and we’ll even incorporate your favorite things into our sessions! We’ll learn how to identify and feel our emotions while finding healthy ways to cope with life’s stressors like school, friendships, relationships, and family. If this sounds nice to you as an adult, we can do this too! With adults, I strive to help clients understand their past, process traumatic experiences, explore their identity with self-compassion, and increase their healthy coping skills for life’s daily stressors.
If anything I’ve listed is appealing to you, please reach out! I’d love to speak with you to see if we would be a good fit for each other.
