Welcome! My name is Carmen Rudd and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Work Associate located in the Charlotte, NC area. I received my Master’s in Social Work from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte and my bachelor’s degree from UNC Chapel Hill. I have experience providing therapeutic services to children and teens in school settings, and  have also worked with college students as a career counselor, designed groups for women who have experienced traumatic events, and am currently a volunteer crisis counselor. I treat a variety of issues, including depression, anxiety, trauma, life changes, behavior concerns, and difficulty with self-image and identity. I also provide a safe space for Black, Indigenous, and other People of Color and LGBTQIA+ clients.

My approach as a therapist is to help my clients learn skills, see new perspectives, and enhance wellness. I believe every single person can achieve these goals, and I enjoy collaborating with clients and creating a genuine therapeutic connection with them as they embark on their journey. I use modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing in client treatment. With younger clients, I will include art and play therapy.
