Hello! My name is Amy Buchanan and I am a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor. I received my MA in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Liberty University and am a member of the ACA and the AACC.
It is my desire to offer you a safe, welcoming, and comfortable space to share your story while feeling seen, heard, and known. My specialty areas include marriage/couples, adults, and teens. I have experience with life changes, law enforcement/first responders, grief, chronic illness, anxiety, and trauma. My Christian faith is foundational in my practice as a therapist. I believe that healing includes strengthening the spirit, mind and body. My theoretical approach is an eclectic mix of cognitive behavioral therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, narrative therapy, Gottman, and EMDR.
I am available at the Denver, office location and provide a variety of session times including evenings and Saturdays. Alternatively I am available virtually as well. I look forward to meeting you and walking alongside you on your journey.
