Connie Cameli, LCSWA
Hello and welcome!
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Work Associate serving children, adolescents, and adults at our Mooresville office as well as virtually. I obtained my Master’s of Social Work degree through Capella University. Prior to graduate school, I studied at Liberty University and obtained my Bachelor’s of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies with a focus in Psychology.
I view therapy as a collaborative process in which you should feel heard, understood, and supported as you navigate life’s challenges. My approach is compassionate, person-centered, and individualized, as I aim to create a safe and nonjudgemental space where authenticity is not only welcomed, but celebrated.
I work primarily with adolescents and adults (from 8 to 40 years of age) experiencing a variety of challenges including depression, anxiety, stress, self-esteem, relationship challenges, life transitions, or previous difficult experiences or trauma. My professional background includes working with such youth and young adults in a variety of therapeutic settings including both inpatient and outpatient settings, as well as community-based family services. Although I primarily provide individual counseling services, the involvement of parents and caregivers is something I often encourage, as applicable, in order to provide more holistic support.
My clinical therapeutic approach is grounded in evidence-based practice and a strength-based, trauma-informed approach. In sessions, utilize a variety of clinical approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Play Therapy, and more, as applicable to the individual needs of each client.
Please feel free to contact our office to set up a brief 20 minute consultation with me if that is something that would make you feel more comfortable beginning therapy services.
I am eager to meet and support you!!!
