Welcome! My name is Carmen Rudd and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Work Associate in North Carolina. I received my Master’s in Social Work from UNC Charlotte and my bachelor’s degree from UNC Chapel Hill. My background includes school-based therapy, career coaching, group facilitation, and virtual crisis counseling. These experiences, combined with my clinical training, allow me to show up as a compassionate and culturally responsive therapist.
I work with children ages 4 and above, teenagers, and adults, offering in-person and virtual sessions. I treat various anxiety disorders and depression, as well as support clients who are navigating life changes, behavioral challenges, and identity exploration. I am also passionate about working with biracial or multicultural individuals, college students, and the LGBTQIA+ population.
My approach as a therapist is collaborative and empowering. I strive to create a warm, inclusive space where each client feels safe to take an active role in their healing journey. A key component of my practice is helping clients develop self-compassion, which I believe is foundational to lasting well-being. In treatment, I use an eclectic approach that includes CBT, DBT, and ACT while incorporating somatic practices. With younger clients, I use art therapy and play therapy during sessions.
Thank you for considering me to be a part of your mental health journey. Please contact me if you believe we would be a good fit! I am available for in-person therapy in Concord, NC. Alternatively, we can meet virtually as well. look forward to connecting and understanding more about how I can support you!
