Thank you for stopping by. My name is Debbie Kurtz I am a Jersey Girl who moved South in 2013. In 2019, I graduated Wake Forest University with my Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, and currently hold dual licensure in both mental health and addictions counseling.
My therapeutic approach centers on a person-centered relational style with an eclectic combination of strength based, solution-focused, cognitive-behavioral and psychodynamic approaches. I have previously worked at Addiction Recovery Medical Services, counseling those with addiction and comorbid mental health diagnosis. Knowing the deep, lasting impacts that traumatic events can have on an individual I have sought out and completed EMDR to incorporate for my care with you. I am comfortable working with individuals, couples and families experiencing addiction, anxiety, depression, disruptive behaviors, relationship challenges, self-esteem, and trauma.
It is my belief that the therapeutic relationship provides a safe space for individuals to heal wounds, change beliefs and construct a life that filled with meaning and joy. I look forward to meeting you.
