Lisa Donnellan, LPC
Is your child or adolescent struggling academically, socially and/or behaviorally?
I can help your child or adolescent replace self-defeating behaviors and thoughts to achieve their fullest potential. I have over four years of school-based experience and have worked as a behavioral interventionist in the Exceptional Children's department. I understand the importance of working collaboratively with schools, physicians and psychiatrist.
My theoretical orientation is a combination of Child Centered Play Therapy, Adlerian, Cognitive-Behavioral, Neurosequential, and Sand Tray Therapy. My areas of specialty include: behavioral issues, autism, self-injury, trauma, PTSD, depression, ADHD, bi-polar disorder, ODD, OCD, and school phobia.
In counseling I use goal-directed strategies to help clients indentify and resolve problems. The client-therapist relationship is positive and team oriented. My goal is to empower the client to make healthy changes for a happy, fulfilling life. The emphasis is on the future, not the past.
I earned a Masters in Education in School Counseling from Suffolk University in Boston, Massachusetts. I graduated from Northeastern University with a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice.
